We took mom and dad on a trip to Bear Lake last weekend and it was a perfect weekend to be up there. First we went to the Hardware Ranch, where dad's brother, Paul, showed us around. We all had a wonderful time and it was so kind of Uncle Paul to do that for all of us. Bear Lake was beautiful, couldn't believe it wasn't frozen over. We got dad and mom both out on a snowmobile with us, and the kids loved the sledding.
Since dad started his new therapy program down in American Fork, he has struggled with feeling like he is not progressing with his speech, we feel that he is but he can't see it, and it just is a very slow process to get the brain to heal after a massive stroke like dad had. We would like to ask if you could include dad in your fast this weekend, specifically that he will be able to see progress in regaining his speech. We believe this has been the hardest part of his recovery for him. He has always been such a great speaker, and great help to people in their lives because of the wisdom and insights he has been able to share, and so to not be able to communicate has been extremely difficult for him these last 4 months. Thank you once again for all of your fasting and faith and prayers and e-mails and visits in the past, we can't thank you enough.
